Position is strong

Top impression rate stayed above 90%. The ad is rarely buried under unpaid results.

October is thinner

Fewer impressions and a higher cost per charged lead. Treat October as partial, not a full-month verdict.

Google Search Ads

AIG-Search is the only active campaign. Compared with September 10–23, the September 24–October 7 window gained a conversion and lost efficiency. Average CPC more than doubled.

What this means

Season and budget

  • Shoulder season. Cooling demand is fading and heating demand has not fully arrived, so search volume is naturally softer. Clicks and conversions still rose in the latest Search window, and a 7.38% click-through rate is healthy for HVAC search.
  • Budget is not the constraint. The account is spending about $48 a day against available budget. Delivery is not waiting on more daily budget.
  • The lever is cost per click. AIG-Search is averaging over $20 per click on automated bidding inside that account view, while the two-week average CPC landed at $9.71 — more than double the prior $4.77. A CPC cap should pull cost per conversion back toward the prior $103 without giving up the extra conversion.
  • Heating season. Heating keywords and ads need to be ready before that demand shows up in search.

Next moves

  • Cap CPC on AIG-Search so automated bidding cannot repeat the last two-week cost spike.
  • Keep LSA phone-lead tracking tight. September at $61 per charged lead is the benchmark. October MTD at $78 is acceptable only while volume is partial.
  • Leave paused campaigns paused until heating keywords are in the active campaign.
  • Recheck absolute top impression rate. It slipped from 10.61% to 6.31% on LSA while top-of-page rate stayed above 90%.
